2026 HKU Common Core Tutor Innovation Awards Winners
Dear All,
We are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 HKU Common Core Tutor Innovation Awards (CC TIA).
The CC TIA recognises and celebrates innovative and effective tutorial teaching within the Common Core curriculum. This year’s awardees were selected following a rigorous review process, including written submissions and interviews conducted by the Selection Panel.
The 2026 awardees are:
- Dr CHAN, Cheuk Wing Wilson (School of Biomedical Sciences, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine)
- Ms KUTATELADZE Anna-Maria (Department of Social Work & Social Administration, Faculty of Social Sciences)
- Dr LAI, Kwing To (Faculty of Science)
- Dr WANG, Shuang (School of Chinese, Faculty of Arts)
- Mr ZHANG, Hai (Musketeers Foundation Institute of Data Science)
The Panel commended the awardees for their outstanding learner-centred teaching, creative pedagogical innovations, and meaningful contributions to the Common Core tutorial community. Their work demonstrates how small-group teaching can powerfully enhance student engagement, critical thinking, and confidence.
We extend our warmest congratulations to the awardees and thank all applicants for their thoughtful submissions and their ongoing dedication to high-quality tutorial teaching in the Common Core.
