Handmade with Love in Rwanda - Internship

Undergraduate students participated in a 6-week virtual internship with the Nyamirambo Women’s Center, an NGO in Rwanda supporting women affected by domestic violence and discrimination. In collaboration with Davis College IT students, interns planned and implemented small projects to help the women gain skills and income. Deliverables were produced weekly to demonstrate progress. At the end, interns submitted a final report and presentation to the NGO and stakeholders. This internship gave students real-world experience and helped empower Rwandan women.

Students committed at least 25 hours of total work across 6 weeks from mid-May to early July and produced solutions to assist the NGO in its mission of helping local women to regain their dignity and livelihoods.
