This page is a directory of internal academic and service units that teachers can seek advice, funding, and support from.

  • Centre for Applied English Studies (CAES) is dedicated to improving the academic literacy skills of undergraduate and postgraduate students. The department runs a one-to-one language support services to support students in written and speaking assessments. Student support service enquiries may be directed to Dr Colin Tait. For digital literacy support, please contact Dr Andy Jarvis.
  • Communication-Intensive Courses (CiC) unit is focused on the development of communication competencies (written, oral, visual, and digital) through course teaching and assessments. They can offer personalised consultation on enhancement of course syllabus, and curriculum and assessment design. For all enquiries, please email the director, Dr Michelle Raquel.
 
  • Teaching and Learning Innovation Centre (TALIC) are dedicated to improving the quality teaching through professional development, and the scholarship and research of teaching and learning. They are more than happy to help with any of your pedagogical concerns.

    • Dr Carson Hung (E-Learning Technologist) – For technical issues related to teaching and learning (e.g. GenAI, digital technologies, etc)
    • Dr Jessica To – For support on Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) and virtual exchanges
