Boyuan HuBEng(BME), Year 1

I‘m Boyuan Hu, and call me Brian for short! As a student who loves interdisciplinary studies not only between biology and AI, but also between history and STEM, I immersed myself in the common core choices when I came to HKU. In the past, I worked at an immunology lab at the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as a student researcher and sometimes a teaching assistant. My mentor and I have always been attempting to evolve the method of education in STEM, incorporating new ideologies and studies into traditional training. Outside working, I also built a history competition website based on AI and Large Language Model with my friends in the history club. With the combination of modern science and traditional rules of history competition, we simplified the people needed to moniter the competition and provided a huge amount of similar questions based on the Large Language Model’s assimilation. Overall, I believe an intersection between subjects leads into more wonderful ideas and inventions, which is what the common core here stands for.
