Hi! I’m Saloni, a Year 3 dual-degree student in the Sciences Po–HKU programme, pursuing Social Policy and Social Development here at HKU.

Beyond classes and lectures, I’m enthusiastic about languages and the arts, finding myself often drawn to intersectional courses that combine my love for social sciences with my hobbies. I spent time in Morocco doing ethnomusicology research, a project that I feel really encapsulates that passion.

HKU’s Common Core courses have been an exciting opportunity to venture into different academic niches alongside a truly diverse group of peers across varying faculties. Common Core is genuinely one of the strongest spaces for collaborative learning, shaping graduates who are both informed and compassionate.
