My name is Merey, and I am a second-year non-local student majoring in Biomedical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering. My academic journey has been profoundly shaped by the Common Core curriculum, which has provided me with the unique opportunity to explore interdisciplinary subjects far beyond my major, from understanding technology ethics to appreciating classical literature and music.
What I value most about the Common Core is how it creates a shared intellectual language among students from every discipline, fostering conversations that would otherwise never happen. This is precisely why I am so interested in becoming a CC Student Consultant. I am eager to contribute to improving this experience for my peers by providing constructive feedback, suggesting new and innovative course ideas, and helping to bridge the perspectives of the student body with the goals of the university administration.
