Highlight Videos from CCAI9025 “AI-driven Robotics for Humankind” Field Trips

Two field trips were successfully held in October 2025 as part of the course CCAI9025 AI-driven Robotics for Humankind. Under the guidance of Prof Hongyang Li and Teaching Assistant Hai Zhang, students paid a visit to Huawei’s HK Research Center, the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park, CUHK’s robotic laboratories, Astribot – an AI robotics company founded in Shenzhen, and the Shenzhen Loop Area Institute (SLAI).

During the field trips, students engaged in a variety of activities focused on AI and robotics, and interacted with operational robots and AI systems through technology demonstrations. The trips addressed the skill gap between academic training and industry needs, promoted interdisciplinary collaboration, and enhanced students’ career preparedness through exposure to current industry trends.
