Passion Project Workshop: The Role of Passion in a Great Career

25 November, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

In his talk, Tim will explain why finding and following a passion is the only way to succeed professionally. He will explain why the importance of being passionate about something means more than to simply find it interesting. Discovering your passion isn’t about having things in common or striking up good conversations, it’s a deep-rooted feeling that’s not always easily explained or understood.

About the Facilitator:

A civil engineer in Arup, Tim has over thirteen years of experience in managing large-scale, complex infrastructure projects and exporting Hong Kong’s expertise to important infrastructure projects in the Greater Bay cities and Southeast Asia, uplifting the profile of Hong Kong engineers. Raised in both Canada and Hong Kong, Tim graduated from McMaster University and joined Arup during the Hong Kong construction boom in 2008. He is an HKU alumnus of HKU and obtained his MSc in Construction Project Management in 2012.

Tim was named the HKIE Young Engineer of the Year Award in 2020. He continues to drive the long-established profession into new dimensions with digital technology and a sustainable development mindset.

All HKU students are welcome!
