Hi there! My name is Dionysia. I’m half-Greek and half-South African, and was born in Johannesburg. When I was twelve-years-old my family moved to Hong Kong, where I attended high school and eventually applied to HKU.
Currently, I am pursuing a major in English Studies, and a minor in Comparative Literature. Although I am not an outstanding scientist or mathematician, I sometimes find myself missing these subjects and the excitement they brought me during my high school diploma. Luckily for us at HKU, the interdisciplinary Common Core allows students to explore a diverse range of topics and interact with their peers across faculties. In my experience, some of the strongest collaborative learning takes place in these classrooms.
As one of your Common Core consultants I aim to be an important part of expanding and fine-tuning this project to sustainably adapt to student feedback. Through the Common Core programme, students gain the ability to engage across multiple relevant subject areas, becoming more compassionate and informed graduates.
