Transdisciplinary Experiential Learning Fund

Transdisciplinary Experiential Learning Fund SUPPORTED BY THE HKU GALLANT HO EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING FUND The Transdisciplinary Experiential Learning Fund enables innovative and immersive experiential learning projects/activities aligned with the Common Core. Students and/or teachers can apply for funding which enables students either individually or in teams to engage with transdisciplinary experiential learning involving real-life challenges beyond the campus. Activities should foster collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, and should have local and/or global impact. Activities can take place in Hong Kong, in the Mainland, or internationally. Transdisciplinary Research Exchange 2023

HKU COMMON CORE & UTRECHT UNIVERSITY CRITICAL ZONES: LOCAL & PLANETARY FLOURISHING A TRANSDISCIPLINARY GLOBAL RESEARCH-IN-ACTION LAB 2023 PROGRAMME DIRECTORS GRAY KOCHHAR-LINDGREN (HKU) & RICK DOLPHIJN (UTRECHT UNIVERSITY)  AN INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE The Common Core is inviting applications for Critical Zones, this year’s Transdisciplinary Research Exchange 2023, co-organized with the Honours Programme at the University of Utrecht (Netherlands). To increase capacities for creative problem-solving and global collaboration that produces tangible outcomes around issues that they care deeply about, students will work with each other and their peers in Utrecht to initiate, organize, analyze, and create transdisciplinary research methods, reflections, video productions, and public events.

A Call for TransDisciplinary Undergraduate Research Proposals

The TransDisciplinary Undergraduate Research Project is an opportunity for an individual or small groups of undergraduate students to pursue funded research on a topic of their own choosing. U21 Real Impact on Society and Environment

U21 RISE (Real Impact on Society and Environment) is an international video competition for student teams to showcase their projects related to sustainability and social innovation. Winning teams will be awarded a prize of USD 2,000 each, together with access to a global network of experts in academia and industry to help scale their projects. If you have a voluntary, social enterprise or environmental project that you would like to showcase, scale up, develop, and build, then RISE is for you! The Future of Sustainable Business in Asia

Register before 27 Jan 2023 We invite interested undergraduate students to participate in this research project in collaboration with the international sustainable business consultancy firm BSR (https://www.bsr.org/). The project involves identifying and researching emerging issues and trends affecting the future of sustainable business in Asia. Under the guidance of consultants from the BSR Futures team, students will learn the skills to conduct horizon scanning, identify signals of change, and extrapolate on the potential implications.
