The Future of 'Made in Hong Kong'

Reimagining Industrialisation Policy

This transdisciplinary research project explores the future of industrialisation in Hong Kong by engaging in foresight and futures thinking to contribute to strategic planning and policy thinking. Led by experts from Arup’s Foresights Team, participating students will work in small teams to conduct industry analysis on a chosen industry, draft case studies, and engage in storytelling, visioning, and backcasting exercises (with support of multimodal Generative AI apps) to reimagine the ecosystem for sustaining alternate industries in the city. The project is a platform for diverse youth and multidisciplinary perspectives on Hong Kong’s industrialisation policies.
