My name is Yina Jiayi Teng, and I am currently pursuing a BSc&MRes (Science Master Class) degree at The University of Hong Kong, majoring in Molecular Biology & Biotechnology (Intensive). With a strong academic foundation, highlighted by a latest semester GPA of 3.86, and an International Baccalaureate score of 44, I am passionate about fostering a vibrant learning community.

As the Chairman of BrainSTEM, I have successfully organized study groups and engaged experts in various scientific fields, enhancing the academic experience for my peers. What’s more, my leadership in the Training Program for Future Female Leaders in Science allowed me to design innovative projects, further demonstrating my ability to coordinate and inspire teams.

I am eager to bring my skills in collaboration and communication to the Common Core, where I aim to lead engaging events, provide constructive feedback, and represent the interests of students. I believe that my diverse experiences and commitment to academic excellence will contribute positively to the Core’s mission of enriching the student experience.
